Our Story :  Driveline Service Inc. was started in Sacramento, California in 1971 as a franchise business. Ken Goodwill and his son Richard Goodwill opened Driveline Service Inc. of Reno in May of 1971 as the first pilot shop of the new franchise. The 1500 square foot shop was located on Tachino street Reno, Nevada.
Because of rapid growth, in 1986, they built a new 5000 square foot facility at 1325 Glendale Avenue in Sparks. In 1989 they added another 3000 square foot building as a complete vehicle repair shop at the same address. In 2001, Tom Hauptman, who worked at the shop since 1978, purchased the shop, which is now known as DriveLine & Gear Service. In 2005, they opened Driveline & Gear Service of Fallon at 5305 Reno Highway to better serve our customers to the in central Nevada. At the time the franchise was dissolved in 1986, there were 112 DLS shops all across the United States. Most shops became independently owned and operated. Today, many of these shops are still open, and ran by the same people who started them back in the 70's. EMPLOYEES: Driveline Service is proud to have accumulated over 195 years of experience with 10 employees.
